Sunday's Bulletin Message 6/21/2026
We started our Sunday Services with our Adult Class Study of the book of Revelation. In the Worship Service we sang some congregational hymns & our Adult Choir sang followed by some special singers who sang praises to the Lord. Afterwards, Pastor Bill Rains honors all our Fathers before preaching a special message about John the Baptist entitled: "How To Be A Great Man" from Matthew 11:1-11. FATHER'S DAY IS A DAY SET ASIDE FOR HONORING ONE'S FATHER AS WELL AS FATHERHOOD-
...paternal bonds and the influence of fathers in society. "Father's Day" complements similar celebrations honoring family members, such as Mother's Day and in some countries, Silblings Day & Grandparents' Day.
Only eternity will tell how God has used the Fathers at MBC to bring great blessings into our church family. Many have been faithful attendees, tithers given faithfully to missions, and used their talents to further the cause of Christ. Your Pastor salutes you. I'm so thankful that, among mankind God has raised up men that will unite together in the service of God, live biblical lives, seek to win others to Christ. It will be worth it over yonder!
WHEN YOU'RE SECRETLY WANTING A WAY OUT OF CHURCH INVOLVEMENT,
because it's just too tough for you, the Devil will always provide it.
YOUR ATTITUDE AND THINGS YOU TALK ABOUT WITH PEOPLE-
can edify (build another up in the faith) or uproot them from Christianity so badly that they'll quit church altogether. Some people get more people out of church than they ever get in. All the while act like they're the "goody two shoes".
IT'S BEEN SAID-
"Our Churches must change or they're gonna die!" I whole heartily agree with that. Here are some changes I propose:
1. Let's change in the sense of becoming more biblical than we've been.
2. Let's change in the sense of getting rid of every version of the Bible but that KJV.
3. Let's change in our prayer life. Let's pray daily for souls to be saved, for people to love Jesus and want to live for him, for God's will to be done in our lives, not our own.
4. Let's change in our lives from wasting time to "redeeming the time for the days are evil".
5. Let's stop being rude and unkind to people and start being Christ-Like in how we communicate and treat people.
6. Let's start going to church more often instead of less.
7. Let's stop disrespecting God's house with "any old thing will do in dress and service" and start being our best for the Lord Jesus Christ.
8. Let's change from being cold and indifferent to evangelistic and full of scripture.
9. Let's do more hymns instead of hem hawing and more specials that are special to Jesus.
