“Empowering Insight”
Sunday's Bulletin Message 7/12/2026

We started our Sunday Services with our Adult Class Study of the book of Revelation. In the Worship Service we sang some congregational hymns & our Adult Choir sang followed by some special singers who sang praises to the Lord. Afterwards, Pastor Bill Rains preached a message entitled: "Praising God For Israel's Call" from Nehemiah 9:4-12, #12 of his The Need For Nehemiahs sermon series. THE STORY OF ABNER-
...not the one in the Bible, but of an old acquaintance in the church that biblically sent me out to establish MBC. Abner came to our church in his senior years. He had gotten right with God and he wanted to join our church but he had to so something else first. He'd been saved and part of a good church before coming to Cincinnati, but had gotten out of God's will, into the world and into the sin of drunkeness. After getting right with God, he rightly felt that he owed that church an apology for his actions. He went to that church, made his public apology and publicly asked that Pastor and church for forgiveness and then joined our church. This is something Christians were taught to do 50 years ago. Now we create MONSTERS OF SIN by accepting people that have too much pride to make things right with God and those they've wronged.
ATTENTION CHRISTIANS-
...when you post things containing curse words, sexual slang, content or comments, you're dishonoring Christ, Pastors and churches. You are severly damaging your testimony and chances of winning others to Christ. Sometimes we fail to examine what we share only to discover we've inadvertently shared something displeasing to God. Let's stop this immediately!
WHEN LEADERSHIP DROPS IT'S STANDARDS-
...a whole congregation rolls downhill.
WHEN YOU'RE SECRETLY WANTING A WAY OUT OF CHURCH INVOLVEMENT,
because it's just too tough for you, the Devil will always provide it.
YOUR ATTITUDE AND THINGS YOU TALK ABOUT WITH PEOPLE-
can edify (build another up in the faith) or uproot them from Christianity so badly that they'll quit church altogether. Some people get more people out of church than they ever get in. All the while act like they're the "goody two shoes".
IT'S BEEN SAID-
"Our Churches must change or they're gonna die!" I whole heartily agree with that. Here are some changes I propose:
1. Let's change in the sense of becoming more biblical than we've been.
2. Let's change in the sense of getting rid of every version of the Bible but that KJV.
3. Let's change in our prayer life. Let's pray daily for souls to be saved, for people to love Jesus and want to live for him, for God's will to be done in our lives, not our own.
4. Let's change in our lives from wasting time to "redeeming the time for the days are evil".
5. Let's stop being rude and unkind to people and start being Christ-Like in how we communicate and treat people.
6. Let's start going to church more often instead of less.
7. Let's stop disrespecting God's house with "any old thing will do in dress and service" and start being our best for the Lord Jesus Christ.
8. Let's change from being cold and indifferent to evangelistic and full of scripture.
9. Let's do more hymns instead of hem hawing and more specials that are special to Jesus.
