Mission Baptist Church's
2025 Sermon Series
"The Miracles in Acts"

This past Sunday we started our "Veteran's Day" Services with our Adult Sunday School Class on the book of Revelation moderated by Bro. Chris Mobley. Afterwards we started the Worship Service with congregational hymns and our Adult Choir sang followed three singers who completed our Special Music program. I then brought my last message from our 2025 "Miracles In Acts" series entitled: "A Time For Identification" from Acts 16:35-17:4. I'D MUCH RATHER BE A YAYSAYER THAN A NAYSAYER-

Naysayers never get to excitedly see the program, power & provisions of God. They won't believe for it! They won't follow biblical leadership that is believing for it! Every Naysayer I've ever known winds up depriving themselves of experiencing the miraculous. They can only see it in others and even then they dispute it.

57 PLUS YEARS AGO WHEN
I WANTED FAYE-

and was gonna be around her, I always dressed nicely, had my hair combed, kept my breath fresh (in case I could steal a kiss) and wanted her to be pleased with me. She was the same way with me. Sill today, every day, I still love and value our relationship so much that I NEVER have the attitude of "it's only Faye, and old thing will do and I want her to take me as I am, an unkempt stinky slouch. She's nothing special, why make the effort?" I still want to be the best in every way I can be for her. After being a Christian for 60 plus years, I still want to show God that he's so special in my life that I never wanna just slouch around. I want to always demonstrate his worthiness in my worship and discipleship.

IN THIS MODERN DAY-

let's remind ourselves that PERSON TO PERSON OUTREACH is obedience to the great commission and is still the biblical method of ministry. Yes, by all means use traditional mailing, phone calls, texting, email, social media posts, digital tracts and other information, or whatever is available. But you must not let this take the place of person to person evangelism. Many of us have let technology make us lazy and disobedient to the basic biblical command of person to person evangelism.

IT'S BEEN SAID-

"Our Churches must change or they're gonna die!" I whole heartily agree with that. Here are some changes I propose:

1. Let's change in the sense of becoming more biblical than we've been.

2. Let's change in the sense of getting rid of every version of the Bible but that KJV.

3. Let's change in our prayer life. Let's pray daily for souls to be saved, for people to love Jesus and want to live for him, for God's will to be done in our lives, not our own.

4. Let's change in our lives from wasting time to "redeeming the time for the days are evil".

5. Let's stop being rude and unkind to people and start being Christ-Like in how we communicate and treat people.

6. Let's start going to church more often instead of less.

7. Let's stop disrespecting God's house with "any old thing will do in dress and service" and start being our best for the Lord Jesus Christ.

8. Let's change from being cold and indifferent to evangelistic and full of scripture.

9. Let's do more hymns instead of hem hawing and more specials that are special to Jesus.
